Acquired Taste (a new guild on US-Spirestone) is currently recruiting for our raid core. All of our current members have been in Server First and top ranked world guilds. We have the experience and drive needed to to succeed and we plan on doing so.
A little about AT - Those that make up the member base of Acquired Taste are the loners of the rest of the gaming world, the class clowns if you will. While we have as much fun as possible outside of raiding, while during progression our atmosphere is dead serious. Although we strive for exelience, we try to have as much fun as possible while doing so.
Our officer core is made up of people who not only command the respect of the guild, but are extensive in their knowledge of the game inside and out. Together they make up the base leadership in-guild as well as acting as our raid leaders and loot council. All of our officers have been raiding and pushing endgame progression since Day-one of World of Warcraft's release. They push our raiders to their breaking point, and as a result build up a strong core of dedicated raiders that want to be part of the progression team. They expect the best, and take nothing less than the best.
The core group of Acquired Taste is filled with a myriad of people including Military/Nerds/Geeks. Although we do keep it casual, the environment is always at a TV-MA standpoint. No one is safe from the jokes or humor, not even our officers. If you want to be part of our team, you have to learn to take a joke. No Exceptions.
Trial Information - Our trial process lasts anywhere from three weeks to a month. In that time-frame you will be tested in every aspect of your classes abilities. Naturally we will give you the hardest jobs to prove to us that you can play in any situation possible. Deaths will be looked at carefully to see what you or anyone else did wrong. Raid wipes will be almost unforgivable, and will more than likely earn you a one way ticket out of your trial period. While we provide our raiders with the equipment and consumables they need to raid, you will be required to raid with the highest level of food and flasks available at the current content. Don't be cheap, we will see and we will know. At the end of your Trial period we will have a evaluation discussion with you at which point if you have made it, you will be promoted and welcomed in our ranks. If not, we will discuss what you did wrong and if the officers see fit to give you another week.
While either a Trial or part of our member base, you represent Acquired Taste in everything you do. Anything that diminishes the name of our guild will be dealt with swiftly and without mercy. We work hard to keep our name in good standing and we refuse to let anyone destroy our name for any reason.
Our raid schedule is still TBD, however we will have one that tries to push progression as fast as possible. While we understand that everyone has lives outside of World of Warcraft, we strive to be first in anything that we do. This requires us to put in dedication that most guilds cannot handle. If you are not able to have this mentality, there is no room for you here.
