The CPU is the best bang for the buck when it comes to gaming, the rest is quality parts but not super top end stuff.

I would agree with this in general. The new Core i5 2500K will be a good CPU for a good while. The GTX 460 is a nice mid-range card (though I'd probably suggest the 1GB version, if you can afford the few extra dollars). arcangel1337 said the main gaming would be WoW and DC:UO. I don't know much of DC:UO's end game, but if they do have raids or large PvP events, it's likely to be CPU-hungry, just like WoW. Most MMOs are, as the calculations needed for a large event out-weigh the graphics power needed to draw the scene.

I suggested the 768mb version is because I doubt he's going to be running his resolution over 1920x1080. Once you start multiscreening and jacking that resolution way then I would go above that.

I know for WoW at 1920x1080 on all ultra I never go above 500~mb's of the memory.

Though I guess its better to be safe than sorry. So I don't know, if its worth the extra money than sure.
