    [A] <Mediocre and Predictable> LF2M to start 10man!

Hello and thank you for viewing <Mediocre and Predictable>'s recruitment thread. We are looking for two chill people to join our family, but first let me start by explaining a little bit about ourselves and our vision for the future.

    About Us:
We are a progression/achievement prioritizing 10-man guild on a casual schedule. We're located on the Scilla (EST-PVP) server on Alliance side. Many of our members are former competitive/progression players that now have responsibilities out of game to attend to. Our emphasis is getting things done efficiently AND effectively in game while still being able to enjoy that thing called "life" as well as the company of our guildmates.

    Guild Structure:

The guild does not have a guild master, persay. It is run collectively between several experienced officers which are supported by several other experienced members/friends. Officers are simply members with more administrative and leadership duties--we're a guild of friends and we like to keep it that way. There is no sense of elitism whatsoever.

    Raiding Schedule:
We raid twice a week on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 7:30pm-11pm EST. Invites/getting to the raid location begin at 7:30pm and we pull no later than 8pm. While we only have 2 'official' raid days, if there is a 100% consensus with all parties involved, a 3rd raiding day may be proposed depending on the situation (i.e. 1% wipe on some hardmode boss the night before).

Additionally, since we only raid two days a week, it is imperative that those two raiding days are spent efficiently and not wasted. While we do consider ourselves casual, we all want those big scary dragons to die and see a bunch of purple pixels in our inventory. To do this, we ask that you be prepared (read strategies, bring consumables, etc.) and come with a positive attitude and be willing to learn/improve as we progress.

    Loot Structure:
When it comes to awarding loot, we use a member-interest driven loot-council. Essentially, when a boss is looted, each item will be linked in chat. At this point, those wanting that particular item will let it be known. The officers ultimately decide where the items go, but members and officers alike are expected to be fair when taking/passing on items. Essentially, don't be a greedy, whiny, and otherwise asshat-ish lootwhore. Nobody likes lootwhores, they have the ebola virus and are icky.

    Recruitment:

Below you will see our needs to round out our raiding roster. Of course if you are an OUTSTANDING applicant and just so happen to not fill meet our specific needs listed below, we will still look at your application and assess accordingly. There is ALWAYS room for more awesomeness, always.

Openings (as of January 12th, 2011):
    Slots Available: 2 (Healer/Tank)
    Desired Roles:
    - 1 (Non-Paladin) Tank (Blood DK, Protection Warrior, Feral Druid)
    - 1 Restoration Shaman w/ Elemental Off-spec
    or
    - 1 Restoration Druid w/ Balance Off-spec

    What we Expect/NEED from you:

    1) Don't be bitchy, needy or otherwise exceptionally annoying.

    2) We expect you to play like a champion while raiding and doing other guild functions. While it's okay (and sometimes even encouraged) to goof around, when push comes to shove we want 100% focus/effort, as opposed to half-assing it because you are too busy watching this really super awesome commercial that just popped on the television. If you don't give it your all on a consistent basis, you will be demoted and kicked from your raiding spot (regardless of your relationship with the guild).

    3) If you mess up, don't make excuses, just understand what you did wrong. No one cares if your cat caught fire or whatever other excuse you can think of. Everyone makes mistakes. The key is the ability to own up to your mistake, learn from it and don't repeat it over and over, and over, and over, and over (you get the point) again.

    4) Be prepared for the raid. I touched on this before, but I feel it's important enough to be emphasized again. This includes (but is not limited to)...
    - Fully Repaired
    - Stocked with your class/spec specific flasks, food, potions, elixirs, whatever.
    - Research your class/role
    * DPS - understand your class mechanics and be able to achieve maximum DPS. Alternatively, be able to understand different specs your class may be capable of. Some fights may be better suited to one spec versus another, so being just as capable in one spec as in another is priceless beyond belief.
    * Healers - understand your class mechanics and be able to heal effectively and efficiently.
    - Research any encounters we may be working on BEFORE our scheduled raiding time. Any learning that can be done before a scheduled raid simply means less time learning and more time killing.
    - Be able to take criticism w/o getting all emotional about it. Understand that we're not trying to ridicule you and single you out, but rather teach you how to perform better in any given situation for the betterment of the guild as a whole.

    5) Excellent attendance. 100% Attendance is a big deal for us. We raid only 2 days a week on a schedule that is VERY reasonable for working professionals, students, and busy people in general. If you cannot commit to making these two days a week nearly all of the time, then we aren't a good fit. We understand people have vacations and other unplanned events, we simply ask that you let us know ahead of time so we can plan accordingly.

What can you expect from us:

A friendly, relaxed atmosphere full of people who just like to have fun. We are a guild/group of friends that just wants to raid halfway competitively and effectively. During any downtime, we enjoy pvp'ing as a group, doing old content for the hell of it, and long walks on the beach. To top it off we have Glennbeck, Rushlimbaugh, and Seanhannity in the guild!

So really, what are you waiting for! Apply now at http://mp.eggrolled.com If you need anymore information please send a PM over the website to Scrubbles, Hetalar, Coefficients or jump on Scilla and whisper us!
