I think 24" is the perfect sized monitor to be sitting in front of. Don't want the screen too big so it passes your field of view.

we have my brother's computer set up to a TV, and it works fine. Its only like 23" tops btw.

I can agree, but i'm about 8 feet away from the 42' tv i use.
