I started with a druid back in vanilla, got it to 40, TBC was around the corner (BEs had been announced) I thought, hey I'll make a BE lock, but I'll try it out first to see if I like the class, so I made a Female Forsaken Warlock...
Passed my druid, got her to 60, and maxed her out in each expansion, has been my main ever since.

I will never abandon her, love warlocks too much.

    dunno, i love my warlock.

i'm leveling a hunter for soloing bc/wotlk stuff when i'm bored. a lot of the fights i just can't do because i don't have misdirect/non-channeled massive pet heal/feign death :[

from a pve standpoint i feel we are in a good spot, good utility and damage, all specs are equally viable.
affliction pvp seems to be suffering, weak dots + shamans completely negate us.

warlocks have an insane amount of spells as well, a lot of people might be too lazy to bother with them

To everyone claiming they are boring, you only use a small fraction of their abilities while levelling so please reserve your judgement until you reach the level cap and take it to a rid or two. You will find the rotations are quite complex and playing one well is rewarding.

@Cerebes love ur sig i was in a heroic deadmines the other day thinking wtf im still here...shit is too long?

OT i always thought locks were lame, any class that cast dots and tries to kill time so u can die before them is wack. I just always viewed them as a dot and forget class with fear spamming but thats just me. Yes i do know destro and demo play differently. No offense to lock players dont mean to bag on ur class just my honest opinion.

this is coming from a strictly pvp perspective pve they are fine i guess but never really interested me

i think its cos so many hate being feared that they think of the lock as the twats choice (like ppl think rogue is the griefers choice)

also there pretty much isn't anything more annoying than an affliction lock, period.

I was under the impression shamans were the least played class.

I'm sorry but Rogues are the least played class at 85.

And were least played at 80 as well.

    i love my lock actually

i always enjoyed my lock, so much fun fear kiting people in pvp. i love the felguard too, knock em down and whirlybird their faces.

my warlock was my second character, first was a hunter but the warlock hit 85 first then the hunter and my mage.

what can i say, i like pet classes.

    85 rogues 138,363 6% overall
    85 locks 164,314 7% overall
    next lowest is 10% hunter/priest/shaman

I imagine it was after they used fear for the first time and ended up with 6 mobs to deal with suddenly instead of 1.

hahahaha, thanks for the laugh mr. frost mage.

feral druids are the only thing that comes close to rivaling the frustration that is mage armor.

I think its the fact that Warlocks...are always evil characters. Or Chaotic Neutral..or whatever you wanna call it...because Fel Magic is just really dark and you draw your power from living things.

    Sike.

    I like Warlocks.

Actually, before Shaman were the least played class. Its surprising how that changed.

the question now is..why do people love playing Paladin so much? I'm happy I don't see 1000000 shaman running around in Org. It gives me a sigh of relief.

aye im a frost mage but at least i dont heal myself with no effort and send u running all over the place

granted i stick u to the ground and nuke ure face off but id rather that than fear spam and so much self heals its like killing 3 ppl
    ---------------edit-----------------

ok end rant just they have always been my bane at 70 i was a feral and they ate me alive at 80 i was a frost mage and a muti rogue and they ate me alive

now at 85 a good one will still eat me and finish with full hp and im pretty bloody solid
i guess i need to roll a counter class to an aff lock any ideas i have 1 of each class in various stages of lvl

Well i guess it is a matter of opinion, and complexity,

we are still the 2nd least played at 85 and the least rolled period.

i'm happy with my class and glad that i rolled it.

if people don't wanna play it, so be it.

    they are missing on something.

Maybe it's because Locks are officially evil.
Maybe it's because people find classes that revolve around dots THAT much to be boring (Priests have other specs).
Maybe it's because the US government is faking the statistics so that people have something to get distracted by from the REAL issues.
    Maybe life is a lie.

I love my warlock, he's my second character I've ever created and I will never give him up. Granted I haven't leveled him to 85 yet, but thats because I'm off playing DCU for the time being.

The bigger they are, the harder I hit'em
