I think they are just going to add sockets to epic items that don't already have them :P

i heard that more crafting mats will be accessible by spending JP or honor. Do you guys think we will be able to buy orbs with JP? if so that would be awesome

Technically the Engineering Goggles do not have any normal gem sockets... They have a META gem socket and 2 Cogwheels.The Cogwheels are an inventive way to allow engineers to itemize exactly for their class instead of having multiple versions of the goggle per armor class. I wouldn't run around telling everyone they aren't getting any sockets until there has been an official statement clearing it up.

Yes it should happen found it in the 4.0.6 patchnotes that came out january 11

On the PTR irrc not all have been implimeted yet, but that doesn't mean it won't before live.
I am assuming three things atm
1.) All crafted epics that didn't already have a gem slot will have one. Whether its Tailoring, Leatherworking or Blacksmithing won't matter.
2.) Shields will have a gem slot.
3.) Engi goggles will have a gem slot.
We'll see if i am right/wrong soon enough though. =P

i had heroic Defias Brootherhood Vest before i changed to Assassins Chestplate, and the first one had 2 sockets
