Not sure if this is the case for other healers? like flash heal costs more than greater heal for priest etc etc? It seems the greater heal costs lesser for my level 62 priest, not sure about level85.

It's the same for all four classes. The "big and slow" heal is alot more efficient than the "OH ****!" heal.
I don't know for how much regrowth hits, but my Flash Heal hits for 14k - 18k, which is almost as much as Greater Heal. You pay additional for the speed

Its cast time is about a second less and has a 60%+ crit chance talent, making the benefit from living seed very nice.

since it crits nearly always (talented) it heals 14-16k in raids
