    Lightbulb Maloriak 25 HC

    So, after downing Halfus 25 HC my guild focused on Maloriak, tonight is first night we progressed on it, mainly wiping at start in black phase and after when we managed to keep geting adds down (with heroism tho) in red phase or blue phase, mostly because arcane storm going through. Now i'm playing healer so dont know exactly how tough it is to interrupt but from what i experienced it requires good ms and fast hand. How you, other guilds out there done it, any tips and tricks ? You had assigned interrupter or everyone was trying to get on it? Remember its not channeled spell anymore on heroic and if it goes through in red phase its pretty much wipe.
    Share your experience about this fight please.

    It is a channeled spell, keep up curse of tongues and have someone stay on the boss during all phases in which it is cast.

    Killed maloriak hc yesterday for the first time, there's a few things that may help you;
    Black phase adds must die before the first red/blue phase. Keep cd's for people in red phase and keep stacked up so they needn't run out. Keep one interrupter on Maloriak all the time, not one arcane storm must go off. Split designated interrupts for adds / arcane storms in "normal" phases. After you've completed a phase cycle, you're again greeted with another black one, have people ready for that. Have aoe dps blow their CD's in second green phase, if any adds are left alive before green phase ends, you're in a world of trouble in execute phase, which is all kinds of hectic, fire, arcane balls that take 3 secs to form and explode in a huge radious (the explosion doesn't kill a full hp player, but does get him quite near death), it's a zerg race at the end.
    Boils down mostly on how black phases are managed and all avoidable damage has to be avoided, else your healers won't manage to keep you up since they really can't spare many gcd's due to insane damage on tanks all around.

    thats not completly correct.
    the trigger range for the explosion and the splash range itself are REALLY small. the most important thing is good communiction and to call where the orbs spawn. you have 3 sec to move out of it. they target a random player and start moving slowly. you can soak them with players with dmg reductions abilitys (rogues cos, dks ams) but be carefull as they have a knockback which is nasty when there is a lot of fire in the room which basicly means you gonna die if you touch it (hard ticking dot + nature dot = unhealable if you have no imunities).

    id also like to add that the last phase is no "zerg race". if your raid completly knows hats going on and isnt tunnelvisioning you can play it down quite controlled.
    i think the hardest part of the last phase is the tanks job to position maloriak correct as he moves quite shitty and casts frequently.

    another hint on the adds in last phase:
    they have a fixated ability which works like RoS aggro in p1. whoever is closest to the center of the mob at a certain time gets fixated until the check is run again. in fight this means: make sure that nothing runs "through" them except the designated tank (hint, pets can get fixate too)

    on TEs problem with interrupts:
    we have 4 assigned kickers with 2 doing the main part (1adds/1aoe) and the other two beeing backup. make sure that you position those dps correct in blue phase that there are no bad luck moments (both debuff, have to run out etc.).
    good aproach is to have aoe1 and add2 on one side of maloriak and aoe2 and add1 on the other.

    next tip would be to safe bloodlust for the last phase. you will need it belive me.
    we also started with bloodlust before p2 but once your dps gets comfortable with the encounter you will find that you can do a good/perfect transistion into p2 without bloodlust (later you will be to fast with bloodlust and have to stop dps on maloriak for quite some time)

    hope this helps you somehow, dont hesitate to ask more
