Personally. I Manscape weekly. No one likes getting stray hairs in their teeth if it can be avoided. But shaving legs, hands, and chest? No. Never.

I really couldn't care less what other guys do. Personally I wouldn't shave anything other than my face and my happy place unless i joined a swim team, and thats just not happening.

No, not really. Although I do shave there because quite frankly I find it incredibly annoying and uncomfortable.

The hair-growth will vary a lot, so there's no real rule you can set per se. However, keeping things within moderation is generally "the" solution. :B
Do keep in mind that completely shaving spots that will ever rub against either fabric or other flesh on your body will feel really, really uncomfortable when the stubble grows back though.

I tried it once, never ever ever again. only places I shave are my face, my armpits and down there(and even that not so often, once a month, maybe even less often).

Too many people get weird about male grooming as a subject. It takes a lot of work to keep me looking my best! I'm bald, so I have to keep that shaved nicely. I have 'wolf ears' and those suckers are tedious as hell to shave down. I keep my beard shaped to not look too unruly. Some of my tattoos I think look much better when not overgrown. Theres the whole issue of my back...

I consider it a given than if I expect intimate acts to be performed on intimate areas, I would be groomed in such a way to facilitate. That may mean different things from couple to couple, just as what looks best on your body varies.

It depends on the person, some guys are hairier than others. Personally I don't see leg, chest, or arm hair as something that is socially expected of a man to shave, however at least trimming the private area is expected.
