Is it possible to make the mouse buttons act as modifiers? I'd like e.g. mouse 5 to behave as if I pressed ALT or mouse 6 as if I pressed shift?

To expound on the quote Raykus posted above. I created custom macros for every button on the mouse because of the mouse over issues when using the assignable functions they give you. Just create a macro using whatever key you want and make sure to check the 'no delay' box.
