Extirpate is a 10 man based Horde raiding guild which resides on the US-Zul’jin server. We are created with the high ambitions of progressing through the upcoming WoW expansion, Cataclysm, very quickly. Our founding members were in a top 250 US guild in April 2010, before going their separate ways only to then come back together to create Extirpate. While doing 10man raiding, it is often common to become closer with your fellow raiders compared to 25man raiding. We have spent years, literally speaking, trying to find a guild that was as enjoyable and fun, as it was successful. Unfortunately we did not succeed when it came to 25man, while in 10mans some of our best times on WoW happened. With the introduction to equal gear between 10 and 25man raiding, this is the perfect opportunity to build that idealistic guild of ours.
What are Extirpate’s Goals in Cataclysm?
With Cataclysm being released, we have some very specific goals that we expect every member to share with us. These goals are:
*Clear all available content within 2 days reducing our raid schedule.
*Become a server first competitor on our realm, and if not realm first then Horde first.
What are Extirpate’s Expectations?
Just like any other guild, we have specific requirements for our guild members.
* You must be MATURE. This does not mean 18+ but this does mean you must be able to keep cool under stressful situations, know when to stop talking, and know when to focus.
* Tough skinned. Language in our guild can be vulgar at times which means we don’t want to have to walk over eggshells in order to not hurt someones feelings.
* Good sense of humor. Be able to take and dish out a joke.
* Know your *#%%. There is no excuse for coming to the raid without any knowledge of the upcoming encounter with the exception of Cataclysm release. Also, adequate research on your class is a given.
* Come prepared. Our time is valuable and so is yours, please do not waste it. Coming to raid late without pots, flasks, food, and whatever it may be you need for the upcoming encounter is not acceptable.
* Be dedicated. On progression nights it is a huge possibility to have a boss still alive with a previous lets say, 10% health left, attempt. We expect you to be dedicated enough to staying that extra 30minutes to down the boss.
