If you like In Flames and All That Remains, other decent metalcore bands include:

August Burns Red(*), All Shall Perish, As I Lay Dying, Heaven Shall Burn(*), Killswitch Engage, Parkway Drive(*), and The Devil Wears Prada.

    * denotes personal favorites.

Well, there are plenty of good metal bands out there... from the 3 bands you cited, you seem to like most metal really. Off the top of my head, you'll probably like Trivium, Disturbed, Spineshank, Mnemic, Static-X...

There's this website that is kind of a search engine, but instead of giving results with the word you typed, it gives you words that are related to what you typed. It's called tastekid, see what it says for 'in flames' for example: http://www.tastekid.com/like/in+flames. I've heard several of those bands and it's mostly spot on.

Based on what you listed I'd recommend:

Arch Enemy, Children of Bodom, Dark Tranquility, Insomnium, Kalmah, Machine Head, Nightrage, Shadows Fall.

Might wanna try Opeth too, they're a bit different to these but I couldn't pass up an opportunity to suggest them ^^

Theres never a bad time to diversify your tastes so I'll list a few bands from my favorite metal genre and see if any tickle your fancy. The genre is of course Grindcore!

Napalm Death - British grindcore at its very best. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NglonnjY1Yg
Pig Destroyer - American grindcore at its very best. Actually the best metal band around at the moment in my opinion. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nR1cWDmuew
Brutal Truth - More american grindcore - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8Ih-dX-LDE
Annal nathrakh - Technically not pure grindcore but they are by far the most insane band I've ever seen or heared - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSArxkjxKQI

There are many more but the above 3 are in my opinion the pinnacle of what the genre has to offer. Many bands match the above with the exception of Pig Destroyer. They really are the leaders of the pack as far as I'm concerned.

I confess its not to everyones taste but you never know. If you don't try it you might miss out on something you might love.

right, or you may try listening to some proper metal. iron maiden, judas priest, wasp, motley crue, venom, accept, armored saints or metal church.

old stuff is really the best... i used to listen to slipknot, children of bodom (still one of my fav tho), system of a down, hammerfall and such... but really, "retro is in"

    also try DIO

    ^^^AGREED
Also worth hearty mention: Anthrax - Annihilator - Overkill - Testament - Exodus - Candlemass - Slayer - Megadeth - Pantera

Tip: Pandora does a really good job reading your mind. Set up a "station" with the band name you're interested listening to at the moment, and it will play (mostly) what you want to hear.

p.s.: Give Volbeat a try - not really what you're asking about, but definitely worth a listen.

August Burns Red is THE best metalcore band out there. I have loved them ever since I heard the song The Truth of A Liar from the album Messengers. They sound pretty hardcore, but their lyrics are just stunning since it's a christian band.

    Other great metal/metalcore bands are:

Lamb of God (love this band, listen to the song Descending, really)
    Parkway Drive
    Meshugga
    Chimaira
    As I Lay Dying
    All That Remains
Sonic Syndicate (Listen to the album Eden Fire)
    Haste the Day

    Hardcore/Deathmetal:

    The Black Dahlia Murder
    Job For A Cowboy
    All Shall Perish
    Carnifex

Those are the bands I listen to and love.

Here is my favourite song by August Burns Red:
August Burns Red - White Washed

    Five Finger Death Punch !!!
“There were countless corpses stacked one on top of the other... And there, atop of the bodies, they found a lone infant sleeping... You. You are death incarnate. You feel nothing, fear nothing, desire nothing... You kill. Nothing more. Angel of Death... The perfect name.”

You say you like Soilwork. In Flames.

That's some nice Melodic Death Metal for you. If you want moar of that, look up Mercenary.
It's comparable to Soilwork, first two albums have the rough sound you had from A Predator's Portrait/The Chainheart Machine.
After that, from the album 11 Dreams on, it'll get more melodic, just like Figure Number Five/Natural Born Chaos.

    Definitely one I'd recommend!

also this song gets me going every single time:

    Check that out

It seems you like the 'softer' variant of metal like In Flames.

I don't listen to these type of softer bands but people already mentioned a list of great bands so I list mine also, and there's a few doubles in them, but hey, that's the best way to find new stuff anyway

Mercenary: (Their first 2 albums or so are a bit more brutal so you may not like those, but you probably will like the newer albums)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H92gFplUF4w

Crematory: (Basicly the same as Mercenary, you might like the last few albums)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdiyD2vfJ9g

A Day To Remember: (Their ONLY song I like, no joke :P, this is probably their hardest song, the rest are very soft tbh, but hey, try them out)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsptGR1g0c0

Amorphis: (These guys are around for years and grew softer each album so try out their last 4 albums or so)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tf-9MVv_iWo

Degradead: (Getting a bit heavier now, great grunts with pretty much every song clean vocals)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxZ-fp78WJM

Abyssphere: (Great piano and violin but with Russian vocals, hard to find their album though)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWqY9LkL5Ts

Anachronia: (Female vocals, I like them, try them out )
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3MyuKd2CWas

The Autumn Offering: (Mostly heavy metal, and their latest album is the most heavy of them all, I personally find their last album the best!)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uydhHBFcVTM

Dark The Suns: (Amazing piano in this band, all their albums are amazing)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_Vw3r2MOiU

Eluveitie: (Probably the best folk metal band around, it's impossible not to like them :P)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQcyZgY7es8

Mygrain: (New album released this January, they have 2 albums before that, they got better each album, fucking fantastic band)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBiLx3SNyJQ

Sybreed: (One of my personal favourites, and have been for a couple of years)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AsdrFz6Bew4

As I Lay Dying: (Speaks for itself )
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImyL6XtKs0s

That's all from the top of my head. I listen to a lot more but this should hopefully get you started a bit

You can also try out Atreyu, Disarmonia Mundi, Scar Symmetry, Soilwork and there's probably more bands in that direction but I don't listen to them.

SikTh, SikTh and more SikTh also try a band called Subscribe

Okie Dokie, these might not be your style, but here's a sampling from my collection.

    For some melodic death, try,

Scar Symmetry (I prefer Holographic Universe or earlier, when Christian Alvestam was in the band still)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mebSi4PDC34
Solution .45 (another of Christian Alvestam's bands. I'm a fan, can you tell?)

    The Absence
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P85dybr1ua0
    Amon Amarth
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TVWBJHVSrAE

Alot of the others have been mentioned, so I'll move on.
The rest here are all death, tech death, prog death, grindcore, brutal death, blackened death, and a smidgen of deathcore.
