Datus Mortalis was founded in December 2008 with the goal to provide good progression with reasonable raid hours. Even though we consider ourselves a "casual" guild, we are one of the top guilds of Lightning's Blade progressionwise despite raiding less hours than most of the guilds with similar achievements. * 25-man - 1/13 Hard Modes Cataclysm Raids, 12/12 ICC (12/12 Hard Modes), Heroic ToC 5/5, Onyxia, 14/14 Uld including 9/9 hard modes, OS, NX, EoE Cleared!
* 25-man Achievements - "The Light of Dawn", "Glory of the Icecrown Raider", "A Tribute to Mad Skill", "Alone in the Darkness", "Glory to the Ulduar Raider"
* 10-man - 12/12 (1/13 HM) Cataclysm Raids, "Bane of the Fallen KIng" + 12/12 ICC (12/12 Hard Modes), Heroic ToC, Onyxia, "Alone in the Darkness" + 14/14 including 9/9 hard modes Uld, OS, NX, EoE Cleared!

Our 25-man schedule may seem reduced from other "high-end" raiding guilds, however we require a high level of attention, patience, and participation during all of our raids. We set high expectations, give our role leads and players the liberties to accomplish the required prep work, and come together for raid times with a mentality of seeing new content and progressing as quickly as possible.
Exceptional players are welcomed to apply at any time. We are also looking for backup raiders for vacation time, so feel free to apply even if we don't look for your specific class.
Our expectations of new members...
* 18+ years of age
* maintain 67+% attendance, more is strongly encouraged
* quick communication with the raid, including...fluency in English, Ventrilo, a mic.
* acquired the highest level of gear, gems, and enchants available to the applicant(minimum of heroic, badge, and 10-man).
* self motivation to research gear upgrades, ability usage, raid encounters
* give and receive constructive criticism on the spot to master new encounters
* come to raids prepared with enough food buffs and flasks or elixirs to last the entire raid
* experience through all WotLK 25-man raids, TBC and Classic experience is favored
