I always ask if people need the extra bosses (like in Halls of Stone, HoO, and others). If a single one does, I will do them (as I'm the tank everyone usually follows me).

But people are dicks and I noticed this rather selfish behaviour whenever I'm not a tank Yesterday for example in mana tombs and the escort quest, tank leaves => group disbands. (also in Razorfen Kraul or whatsitsname)

So what? If the mage wanted to go to the last and the others didn't, you could just go your way without listening to his demands. That's the way I deal with things. The easiest way to do, what you want in 5man, is to take 2 friends with you or members of your guild. In this case the randoms will follow you or leave the party (what a pity!)

You should have kicked him the moment he's started acting like a jerk telling you to go to Rajh.

There seems to have been some people only half reading the post.

To clarify, it was a normal dungeon (daily, so rewarded Justice, not Valor Points)

The mage asked us to go straight to Rajh, as a group we wanted all the bosses, so we did all of them, Rajh last, the mage did the bosses with us, and didn't whine, bitch or moan. I don't just kick someone because they request we go right for the last boss, I ask their reasoning, and provide my own for not going right there first.

His "I'm a Jerk" part came from the last boss where he effectively stole the loot them taunted me with it. But half of my wondering overall was why would he have been there in the first place, and why want only the last boss. He'd queue'd for lets say 20 minutes, as a DPS, on his own, all 5 people in the group were seperate servers.

If you want rep, killing all bosses would be optimal as they provide the most rep. If you want Justice Points then a heroic would be optimal (20 minute queue + 30-45 minute normal dungeon versus 20 minute queue + 10 minutes to kill first boss then dump group), both previous scenarios providing 70 JPs, and 60g? that's 10 minutes questing.

TLDR: He'd not provided sufficient reason to Vote Kick, and I don't kick people at the drop of a hat, and what the hell was his reasoning for even being there is my repeating question, one of those things I can only assume we'll never know.

Edit: I don't find people saying that they don't care what other people think as too much being a jerk unless they act upon it (refusing to help us kill bosses, stupid pulls, or sustained arguments etc), we all have our opinions, some people may word them badly, but that doesn't neccesarily make them jerks.

Obviosuly I wish i had vote kicked him, but that's hindsight for you

Now a day this kind of behavior happens a lot but unfortunately there is nothing much that can be done in regards to this. Same thing has happened to me yesterday in BRC normal. Last boss dropped tank item and the other warrior needed on him. When ask why he needed it all he said is that he is trying to get a tank set. It pissed me off a bit but then again it was a normal so I let it go.
Asked the group if they want to queue up again and run another normal and everyone said yes. Gues which one I vote to kick . Stuff like this happens all the time and you will que up with immature people but I have seen there is no point of giving these people another thought. Add them to your ignore list and you won’t have to que with them again.

My ignore list is growing day by dame….

I wish more ppl would do as the OP is doing. Gearing and learning from normals, instead of cheating his/her way into heroics with no clue what so ever, shit gear and the head up their ass.

That mage was clearly a baddie, one might suspect that he queued for a normal just to "show off". Either way, it really do sucks that there's nothing to be done about such players. That Blizz can't/wont take action against very bad behavior. Imo such an act, should have resulted in like a 3 day ban from the LFD or a total 1 day ban.

Maybe then ppl would stop acting like tards and ruin the gameplay for the rest of us.

I reckon he screwed up and queued for a normal when he wanted a heroic, then decided it would be quicker to rush through it than to eat the deserter debuff.

Probably seems most viable, and he'd gain in the region of 1500 rep too rather than sitting AFK.
