Hi!
My guild just got 9/12 and its time to start on a end boss, however we cant decide if we should go for Cho'gall, Al'akir or Nefarian?
Please guys enlighten me with what you whould say is the easiest one on 10 man mode.

We're in almost the same situation (don't have Chim down due to main healers rl issues) and we have decided that Chogal should go down first, beeing the easiest ouf of the 3.

Cho'gall > Al'Akir > Nefarian if you want to do them in order of difficulty.

my guild did al'akir first, we had cleared up to nef/chogall before attempting him tho, (we did a few attempts on nef but that shit was tough lol) al'akir took us ~3hrs, had a 3% wipe about 2hrs into it too
lol
we will be going for chogall next

We did Al'akir, then Chogall, and have Nef into p3 (hopefully killing on sun). We had some trouble with al'akir, then went ina few days later and 3 shot Cho'gall... it was depressing lol. We didn't think he was going to be nearly as easy as he was, but it's a very straight forward fight. Once you get it down, it's hard to screw up really. (normal mode) The stacks of the debuff are laughably easy to avoid as well. We assumed it would be going up a lot quicker, but it's actually quite slow as long you don't get hit by the shadow crash stuff from adds.

We've done all on 10 but only Cho'gall on 25. We're working on Nef tonight /fingers crossed.

my guild is only missing nefarian, hopefully going down this sunday and we might do an extra raid night for that.
we killed Cho'gall after 45min of trying. Al'Akir took around 90minutes of trial and error. Neffy and his sister is our last treat before trying to do heroics next week hopefully.
in order of difficulty, from hardest to easiest:
- Nefariam (onyxia)
- Al'Akir
- Cho'Gall

Al'akir is not all that difficult compared to Cho'gall. I'd rate them both about the same. Cho'gall is probably a better focus first off simply because he drops the tokens for tier shoulders.

Al'akir is much more difficult on 25-man due to poor tuning and space issues. Cho'gall is roughly the same difficulty 10/25.

As what they said.
Cho'gall needs good interrupts and quick dps on the tentacles. Have your tanks 'dps' down the tentacles as well. Warriors can mass interrupt with shockwave if the tentacles are clustered (which happens quite a bit in 10man).
Al'akir is actually easy if you take it easy in P1 and play safe. Focus on avoiding all the abilities and slowly dps the boss down. For P2, time the killing of the Stormlings to keep stacks on. P3 is a free kill mostly if you get movement right

Cho'gall is a very easy fight. It's actually one of the easiest fights on 10-man even among all 12.
If you have good reliable healers and preferably 2 prot pala tanks, Nef is going to be easier for you than Al'Akir. Originally Posted by foxHeart

Yea, but he requires slightly more dps on 10 than 25, making him slightly harder imo. The race at the end is is a bit more.....race-ey. Originally Posted by Nitros14
