Mumble servers: who do you choose for hosting?

    [possibly in wrong section]

Looking to move my guild to Mumble when our Ventrilo expires. Does anyone have a trusted host that they would recommend?

Can you host your own on Mumble (for free) if you have your own server? I run my own vent server for our guild, and we are looking to move too.

Yes, there is a way to do that. I prefer not to for personal reasons.

    ^ Because I am curious to see some options. Looking at Mumble.com / https://mmo-mumble.com / https://commandchannel.com / http://www.typefrag.com/

Would appreciate any insight into any of the above, or if you have a better suggestion (aside from personal hosting). Thanks

    1.) typefrag
    2.) nationvoice

w/ typefrag I can change locations, swap it to vent/teamspeak and change the host/ip/port and anything else. I feel like I have total control and have used their services since 2002

Yeah I am currently with Typefrag for Teamspeak and have been pleased. Gone down a few times for a short period but not much. Once every two months perhaps.

I get a text and email anytime they are having issues and if they go down for more then 5 minutes my location is moved and my hostname stays the same. I love these guys

we have 1 hosted on our servers for the guild and the guild site, and we have one small backup on typefrag. both preform amazingly, we got the typefrag one when our server was without power (because of the hurricanes last year in the NE)
