No, these things werent created out of a belief in god or w/e.

Thats the same thing as saying socialism is bad because of Staline.

Yeah...? No. It is more true to say that all of those things have risen as a means to fight religious oppression (and not only from judeo-christian religions, but certainly them aswell).

Religion and politics should be kept separate at all times. There is not 1 single case in history where religious flavoured politics have caused more good than harm.

So... As for what will end the world as we know it...? My money is on either a full scale religious war, or (more likely) a superpandemic (possibly caused by some viral strain or antibiotic resistant bacteria created or augmented for use as a bioweapon).

you're so wrong its not even funny. WW1 and WW2 were not religious, Veitnam was not religious, Iraq was not religious.

And if say these religious people, dont represent thier religion, for example, how many Christians, are Christ like? so how can a christian even represent Christianity, if they don't even take its teachings seriously?

The problem is human arrogance and ignorance. you can give yourself any title you like, Athiest, Christian, Buddhist, Islamic, Artist, Scientist. they will cause conflict cause of thier own ignorance, arrogance, and pride. You are no differant than the ones you condemn. Though I am sure you fooled yourself into thinking your differant than those you judge.

Thing is, most people no matter thier position, never judge themselves, and you are guilty of that aswell, people think the problems are out in the world, in other people, other views, but the real problem is in every person.

Mankind will kill themselves, cause they have more power than they deserve. Most people in the world are like parrots, they simply mimic real people, and don't truely think on thier own, they take sides in wars, and arguements cause they know nothing else, except following others, cause they, in themselves, know nothing. They hate something and go in the opposite extreme, and think they are right.

religion is overall completely ridiculous, and it was created to manipulate people... thousands of years ago and it still works todays... one would believe that in such amount of time people would understand, but no.
This. Also, we can't explain everything in life. We could even less thousand years ago, so it was very simple to just say there was this god. He created us.

I study alot of old cultures, and thats not entirly true, thier is not religion that simply says that. in Egypt, God and nature have the same name, so the gods in egypt represent aspects of nature, have a number, etc etc, so its more of a science, than the typical idea of religon.

but you are right, most religious people don't even understand thier Religon. But the people that fight over it, religious and non-religious are probaly the people who know the least about it, sadly, thats 99% of the people.

Religon wasn't really made to control people, theres alot of proof to say otherwise, lets say in Egypt, the Pharohs (the supposed person in control) followed thier religon closer than the average person, thier privite tombs which are not open to the public at the time, where the most religiously decorated, and strongest religious symbols, and the walls were decorated with maps of the afterlife. Thier is no way someone can conclude otherwise. unless they want to make things up.

Other religons were actually very quite, and reserved, Rome made christianty what it is now, not Jesus, or his followers. Rome changed it, filled in gaps with roman views and adopted it, and did it for political reasons, and killed thousands of early christians who didnt like it.

Yes most religons now might be like that, but thats like eating an orange, and thinking calling it an apple makes it an apple.

Religons might have the same name as it did in its begining, that doesn't mean it's the same thing at all now. Religon is the way it is because the people who adopt it, made it suit thier views.

People see God as a male figure, yet in early writings hes male/female, its both. its probaly seen as male, because the people who adopted it were male dominant people, and in thier own arrogance and ignorance could not imagine any authoritative being, being anything but male, but in Judiasm, Egypt, Mayan, etc etc etc, God is male and female, it has a female aspect, and male. So on a religious level, theres no room for male being more powerful than a female.

Right on the first three, wrong on the last. You might not remember, but it was a bunch of religious zealots that started the Iraq war.

But then again, WW2 was caused in part by religion as well. I mean, if Jewish persecution in previous centuries had not occurred, and the Jewish Land Laws were not created, then you wouldn't have rich, powerful Jews all over the place, making an easy target for Hitler to rally against.

But yes, 3 Wars in the last... hundred... were not religious-based.

Was the religious zealot you refer to here Saddam Hussein or Bush Snr? In either cast the war was not motivated by their religious persuasions but by economic interests, in this case control of oil production, in in a minor way the liberation of Kuwait and it's peoples. Remember there was a large coalition of independent states who responded against Saddam Hussein legally and legitimately. The second Iraq war is on much shakier ground legally and legitimately. However it must be remembered, and usually isn't, that evidence of previous research and development of WMD's in Iraq has been documented, but what people use as 'evidence' was the lack of such weapons by the time the Americans arrived. It is like saying there never have been cookies in the jar simply because there are none in there now...

Secondly WW2 had no religious motivation being initiated by Hitler's invasion of several European countries, an act which was clearly not religiously motivated. Hitler's murder of the Jews, and Gypsies, Homosexuals, the disabled, and basically anyone who did not fit his Aryan ideal was motivated by his own insecurities and prejudices, NOT by any religious motivation and persuasion.
5% of people think. 10% of people think they think. The other 85% of people would rather die than think.

I think that an end to the world as we know it event will come from multiple event stacking on top of each other at a rate we cannot deal with efficiently enough to stop the dominoes falling over While each country likes to think we can handle anything thrown at us there is a point where we do ask for assistance from other countries that are seen to be allies or friendly.
Now I can hear the gears of thought turning over now how could it be possible that unrelated events happing bring the down fall of civilization as we know it?
Ok let's look at a worse case scenario showing how the world as we know it can come to a sudden end
stage one. a small conflict that takes a U.N force to oversee and ensure peace is held

stage two. More resources are sent to help contain the small conflict that has spread to more regions near its locality oil supplies are threatened and disorder spreads to the region near conflict

stage three. natural disasters' effect multiple countries globally taking more resources to deal with some countries can handle it internally while others ask for international help

stage four. conflict grows and more areas are being affected by the security problems of the conflict countries are rebuilding from the earlier disasters resources being used by many nations to rebuild and hold global peace keeping missions

stage five . More wild weather and natural disasters strike loss of 50% of world food crops as a result oil supplies cut off or disrupted due to conflicts and natural disasters food and fuel prices skyrocket

stage six. finical markets collapse due to global uncertain over food oil stocks and the loss of production due to some places being directly or indirectly effected by conflict and natural disasters' million of people globally lose their source of income from being suddenly unemployed or from loss of crops

stage seven . H5N1 virus appears in area effected by natural disaster and rapidly spreads due to the movement of displaced people

stage eight. global H5N1 pandemic every country has people infected by the virus. conflict grows from too small to engulf neighbouring countries U.N is recalled to help with H5N1 pandemic oil supplies are under allot of strain due to vital infrastructure being damaged or destroyed W.H.O declares highest level of infection countries close their boarders

stage nine . Food supplies run low fuel is rationed people start to riot civil disturbances increases around the world as millions start to face the reality of how drastic things are becoming as millions begin to die from H5N1 starvation or other health problems

stage ten. essential services begin to fail as there are too many people ill or unable to travel to work due to rioting or fuel shortages these are problems being felt globally every nation is doing its best to protect its own interest more natural disasters strike there is no longer any foreign aid available to help those effected by natural disasters as there is already over whelming pressure being felt internally by every nation. With this final blow civilization as we know it ends as the power plants shut down and all service fall one after another there is no help coming.

Now im not saying this is what will end the world its just some thing that could bring the world as we know it to an end just too many leaks in the dam to plug untill we are over whelmed and flooded beyond our means to deal with it

Stage 1: Australia gets hit by drought.
    Stage 2: Australia catches fire.
    Stage 3: Australia gets flooded.
Stage 4: Australia gets flooded, catches fire, and gets hit by a category 5 cyclone... at the same time.

    Oh wait...
