some engineering questions

i am an engineering level 225 and i am very proud of this proffesion
i have almost all recipe and trinkets for my level
gnomish boots, cloacking device, preventing belt, remote control... etc... etc
but there are some things that i don t have... and dont understand
first of all i wana make http://www.wowhead.com/spell=12718#screenshots and i don t know if i can have this recipe
i mean, ppl say if i am a goblin engineer or gnomish, and i don t know what i am, i am something? how can i find what i am?
also, this dude gives me the recipe no matter what kind of engineer i am? cause i really wana do construction helmet

It looks like it's learned by goblin engineers only.

When in game push 'K', you'll see engineering, with 2 slots. One of the slots will say just Engineering, but the slot above it will either say goblin or gnomish, or it will be blank, if it's blank then you don't have a specialization yet.

mb i don t get a specialization until level 30 or smt
anyway, i was browsing some engineer high level recipees and i saw http://www.wowhead.com/spell=30574 who would be super imba for my priest level 60 on vanilla account
the question is, can i get 375 engineering if i am a vanilla account?
i can get to 300 engineer and then, get the tbc trial, go in outland, learn 300+ schematics but will i level engineering or is it caps locks?
also, are engineering items better than epics level 60 from 40 man raids?

i found out - you can get engineering 375 on a vanilla account and keep the items but i am wondering now how much gold do i need to level from 1 to 375 in 10 days ?
