With the backfires on the belt enchants, most of them aren't very good (such as taunting everything in 40 yards, rooting you and making you 100% more likely to be crit, the speed one killing you, etc etc)

What are the CDs on those two enchants?

Just because you are unique, does not mean you are right.

The engineering one is going to be 580 intellect as well come patch 4.0.6 if I remember correctly.

    45 icd for Lightweave Embroidery
1 minute cool down for Synapse Springs

It comes down to if you would like an on demand 'burst' or a passive icd. Yes, you can macro it to your spells to make it 'semi' passive. What I'm getting at though is you can use it whenever you need to kill a target quickly knowing you'll have the additional intellect at your disposal. You could additionally use it in PvP for the same situation or even the Tazik Shocker to use when silenced, get in combat from a distance (45 yd), kill totems, etc.

Then again you may decide on engineering for the tinkers alone. It's just a matter of personal preference.
