    Windows error history or something?

    I come home and my pc is off. I turn it on and i get the message that it was shut down "not the right way" or whatever it says.

    Is there a way I can look at a log and see what caused the shutdown?

    I may also fear its my wife that she doesnt known how to wake it up from sleep, but i still want to see a log if possible...

    Computer -> Right-Click -> Manage -> Event Viewer -> Windows Logs -> System

    Most likely she probably just hit the reset button or did a hard reboot.
    I don't know if Windows still runs the check-disk after a bad shutdown.
