Drop Rate for Pristine Hide Too Low?

I've skinned loads of leather to buy all the lw patterns and I've never seen a hide drop didnt even know they did I have purchased all mine

I've got only 1 hide from skinning and i have skinned enough leather for 450-525 LW and ~6 epics. Not a real problem when you can trade them... but it would be nice that you could buy them from justice points vendor too for like 2500-3000 points. That should not be too cheap?

I like this idea, maybe remove the heavy leather from the vendor and replace it with the hides?
