Would vote for: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0200981/ Kim Darby as Mattie Ross in True Grit from -69, with John Wayne coming in 2nd. :> That girl really have grit!
Paul Hogan > Clint Eastwood.
Cookie to whoever gets it.
OT: Wayne, by a long shot. "Say your prayers you son of a bitch!" F**K YES!!!
VanCleef wants you! Join the Defias Brotherhood and hang out on a yacht all day!
I think Eastwood is the better actor, and his directing skills are also absolutely premier as well.
John Marston.
I like John Wayne best.

Clints more my time! Million dollar baby & gran Torina was awesome movies
The Duke did it first.
Clint Eastwood. I never saw the appeal in john wayne's acting.
Clint Eastwood.
He's more man than any man will ever be!
This was a tough one. Its like asking who is more of a badass, Han Solo or Indiana Jones (yes I know its the same actor) so I went with Clint Eastwood who had more movies in the western genre that I loved. Lone Plains Drifter probably would have won it for Clint anyways.
It just doesn't get any better than the Sergio Leone "Man Without a Name" series of movies...
Some trivia... Edwin Van Cleef of the Deadmines was actually something of a nod to Lee Van Cleef (Angel Eyes) in The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
Eastwood's westerns just tended to be edgier and darker in tone than those featuring John Wayne.

Funny you should say that since everything about Red Dead Redemption was an homage to Clint Eastwood and Spaghetti Westerns! Even Marston's clothing was modeled after Clint Eastwood's anti-hero.
Meh.. hate Clint Eastwood :S But the other one is well annoying as well.
