why do you need a floppy drive?

Just a bit overkill on the PSU:P The GTS450 and the rest of the Hardware listed will run on a 400-500w PSU with ease. I had asked this very forum about upgrading my PSU and come away with the Corsair VX450. It is a nice set up and should last you some time.

lol ignore the floppy drive, I'll take it out. Thanks on the power supply, that will save me some money for sure.

I'd go for a sandy bridge, and bump up the video card to a 460, and if your budget allows it, a nice SSD for a system drive.

Overpriced CPU and MoBo, you'd be much better off with sandy bridge i5-2500K and a fitting MoBo. Gfx card is terrible. Get 560Ti if you can, or at least 460. You will regret buying "only" 450 pretty fast. Your PSU is overkill. You don't need more than 450W.

Ok I'll be getting either the GTX 470 or the 560Ti now and will be lowering the PSU to 550.

Definitely 560Ti. It will run 10C cooler and much quieter.
