Question about Magmaw.

I recently started playing as an enhancement shaman and the raid wanted me to jump on magmaws and use that hook. I kinda panicked since I've never done it before and didnt know where to throw the hook, so I just stood there, on his back, then he got up and I was kinda stuck on him. We wiped and they assigned someone else to impale magmaw. Yeah I know that its something very simple but I havent done it before and I dont realy see where thew throw the hook on tactic videos. Also how do I get off his back, I throw the hook and I get auto "dismounted" or I need to leave somehow.

You target the spike on the floor and throw the chain to it, assuming both people jumping on do it (the mangled tank does it automatically) it will go down and everyone will be automatically dismounted

Just a quick input:
When we are doing it, (wich has never failed(YET!)) we are throwing the hook at the right on top of the spike, (not at the bottom) since it has bugged/failed for us a couple of times.
