To begin, I'd start by changing your text color so everyone else doesn't go blind trying to read what you typed. Looks like needles being shoved into my eyes right now.

If UI packs lag your computer, you should probably look into getting a better one. However, the big key here is that a lot of UI packs are bombed with crappy mods you really don't need. They jack your memory usage up which results in you lagging up where you usually shouldn't. Learn to tinker with single mods on your own, grab Curse Updater, and start downloading mods that appeal to you. Aim for function, not for clutter. I don't even run DBM for PVE because I feel the giant yellow warning text is notification enough. Many people like HUD UIs, I do not. It's just screen clutter and excess memory usage. Some of the most reliable mods are the most basic and have lasted since Vanilla.

I'm still sad that Sorren's Timers died with Cataclysm. I've used them since it was originally released as Sorren's Hunter Timers. Either way, here's an example of the UI I built for myself. Go nuts. I'll name off addons as I remember them.

    http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y57...911_173736.jpg

    Unit Frames:
    Perl Classic

    Action Bars:
    Bartender 4
    Autobar

    Timers:
    Capping
Ellipsis (In place of Sorren's Timers and I really, really hate everything other than Sorren's)

    Additional Mods:
    Rarespawn Overlay
    Rare Tracker
Mapper (or whatever it's called for your main map)
pMinimap (or maybe it was dMinimap, I can't remember)
    Recount
    Nug Combo Bars
    Omen
    Atlas Loot
Fubar - Gold Tracker (or something on that order)
    Bug Grabber (If I recall)
    Bug Sack
    Range Display
Decursive (Not displayed on rogue, if you play a healer class you should kill yourself for not using this. However, on that note, I think Healbot makes you a shitty healer.)

That should cover it for the most part.

Keybind your shit. All of your shit.

You need to figure out exactly what you should be aware of in pvp, and then aim to get addons that do that job specifically.
There are various debuff trackers for example, but some will show the expected duration of mass applied effects on every single target they were applied to.
So after more than maybe 2 targets that can get rather excessive, so myself preferring just cooldowns and durations on target/focus.
Come back with a list of what information you want presented to you, and ideally your preference as to how it should be displayed, be it text, bars, numbers counting down etc as to which you find easier to read or interpret in a hurry.

To throw a good example of a bad example in...

THIS IS WHAT YOUR UI SHOULD NOT LOOK LIKE:

(Taken from my raiding UI for hunter in Vanilla. Take notice to the 60mb of usage in the upper right. This was shot before I started using raid unit frames. I don't have a shot from those dark times, but trust me, it was ten times worse than it looks in that screenshot.)

I would advise replacing the default Unitframes, with Shadowed Unitframes being a good introduction to that with a lower learning curve. That should be used to replace your player, pet, target, focus and additional target frames should you like them set up.
XPerl is an alternative, but with less options to customise.

For healing you need some sort of display of your party members and their status and debuffs. You have two choices there with either utilising the frames provided by your unitframes addon, or one orientated towards healing. The latter would involve the likes of Grid, VuhDo or Healbot primarily with your preference on style and capability being taken into account.

A castbar replacement that allows movement, sizing and the ability to create bars for focus to allow interruptions or reaction to casts should they be required. Quartz or Castbars are simpler choices there, with Gnosis and AZCastbar offering considerably greater customisation.

I would advise a better display of the opponent arena frames, and while that again can likely be catered for by your unitframe addon I would advise Gladius for that, since it is designed solely for that purpose with an emphasis on the buffs/debuffs and their status.

As for action bars you can keybind abilities on the bars on the side, and then hide them without their functionality being impacted upon, though Bartender and Dominos will offer more options for placement and appearance.

PowerAuras is one of several alerting addons which can take some time to set up right, but can be used for very customised alerts to various abilities or conditions you want to be sure you cannot miss.
