Who we are
Amicus is a 10m raiding guild on the European server Haomarush. The guild originated with a group of friends who wanted to focus on 10m content. Slowly climbing the GuildOx strict ranks we're now the 4th ranked guild in the world. Our goal is progression but we also like to maintain a social attitude. As most of us have real life commitments like school and jobs we only raid two nights a week.
We have two raiding groups, Alpha and Beta. Alpha, our primary raiding group, is made up of our current raiders and led by our officers (Fizzah, Ghengie and Diometha). Beta is our new raiding group led by Vesqua and we're planning to have it ready to start raiding once Cataclysm arrives. Loot is handled via the zero sum DKP system SWAPS. Every raider has access to points which they can use to bid on loot. The highest bidder wins the loot and their bid is subtracted from their total points and split evenly among all attendees. For example: highest bid is 180, the other 9 raiders recieve 20 points each.
What we expect from you
Being a semi-hardcore guild we require our raiders to be at the top of their game. On the other hand, we also value teamwork and chemistry. Being able to communicate and work together to overcome challenging encounters is worth more than skill alone. We value friendship and we want to get to know you; the person behind the character.
Here's a small summary of our requirements:
Expert class knowledge, skill and also tenacity.
Best gear/enchants/gems available to you.
Excellent raid awareness.
Full knowledge of boss mechanics.
Ventrilo access, a microphone is recommended.
Good attendance.
Having previous progression raiding experience is an asset though not essential.
Raiding schedule All listed times are server time (CET).
If your class/role is not listed here but you think you have what it takes, please submit an application anyways. We're always on the lookout for exceptional players.
How to apply
To apply to Amicus you will need to register an account at http://www.amicus-guild.org/forum. Once you have done so you can submit an application at http://www.amicus-guild.org/forum/application.php. An officer will let you know the result of your application as soon as possible via the forums or in-game if applicable.
