Clarification on 4pc Set Bonus for Boomkin

Ok, so with the 4 piece set bonus from everything Ive read, it is best to delay your DoT's when you eclipse as to not use up the Buff with moonfire/Sunfire direct damage, and to delay starfall if your close to or at the beginning of an eclipse as to not consume the buff with stars, and to delay starsurge if your close to an eclipse to get the guaranteed crit with it. However I just watched a Boomkin PoV vid of a Method Valiona and Theralion heroic kill, and their boomkin was just using everything as normal on CD, and refreshing DoT's at the start of an eclipse if needed. So most of the time 1 charge of his buff was consumed by either a DoT cast or all charges were consumed by stars, and he was not delaying starsurge casts. So, what is the best thing to do?
