    Monitor - VGA - Xbox 360

    hey, I just bought:

    newegg [com]/Product/Product.aspx?Item=24-236-100&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&Pagesize=10&PurchaseMark=&SelectedRating=-1&VideoOnlyMark=False&VendorMark=&IsFeedbackTab=true&Keywords=xbox&Page=1#scrollFullInfo

and I just figured out that my xbox 360 has no hdmi output since its the older version. so my question is can I use:

    xbox [com]/en-US/Xbox360/Accessories/CablesNetworking/xbox360vgahdcable

and still get 720p-1080p on my monitor that only goes to 1600x900 res? and also will I get any sound at all? I see the two audio cables but im not sure if there is a place to plug them into my monitor... there is a green audio plug-in and a black one im not sure what the black one is so I need a bit of help plz!

The 360's VGA lead will let you run at 1600x900, which is a 16:9 ratio (you'll have the correct aspect); you'll have to set it up in the 360's control settings (or at least it let my old monitor run @ 1680x1050 which is 16:10), but no you won't be able to get 1080p as your monitor can't output 1920x1080. The 360 vga pack also includes a phono female to male 3.5mm jack, so just plug the two phono cables into the phono jack then into the green port on the back of your monitor.
