Back to SV?

Is the new hotfix gonna put MM below SV again? Aimed Shot is still way stronger than it was previously in 4.0.3 but now that it had it's damage decreased, is SV the way to go for the best DPS again? I haven't personally tested the difference yet because I'd like to get some feedback before testing.

I think not, the Buff on AotH is for both specs and the nerf on AiS won't make the difference between MM and SV skyrocketing.

Isn't BM the best dps spec since last patch? I've been pulling high numbers in horrible blue pvp gear (13k in 5mans). I guess in full 359 and heavy mastery reforging it probably beats the 2 other specs.

The current dps numbers (before this hotfix) was:
MM hardcasting Aimed Shot > MM casting Arcane Shot > BM > Surv
I cant remember the exact numbers though.

No, MM have pulled the best single target numbers since last patch, however with the last changes BM will be a viable (sort of) spec for raiding again. The numbers quoted for the different specs atm is just theoretical, but those point to MM with hard casting Aimed Shot still being the best on single target, and SV still edging it out on heavy AoE fights. I guess we will see in a few days when the dps parses comes in..

Cant wait for the "You cant do that yet" because of the pet having to be up the bosses ass for KC to work.

From what i have seen MM is still the best PvE specc, though BM has been buffed quite abit not enough to reach MM though

I was refering to when MM actually was a viable spec, as in patch 3.2-4.0 and 4.0.6

3.2-4.0.1 = AS was the focus dump. I miss that MM. This hardcasting AiS thing is so dumb.

They did untill roughly 350-400 armor penetration (very very low-end gear).

4.0.1 focus was introduced. And yes, AS was used at low ArP. Though personally I never went the ArP route and I still pulled 16k DPS or more in ICC 10/25

You must have missed the Icecrown raids where we only spamming Arcane Shot as MM due to Chimera being.. well, twice as much focus and twice as less damage.

You still were suppose to use it to keep up serpent sting, other than that it was completely worthless and just barely worth the focus.
