Hello guys/Girl first off, sorry for my English, not my native language.
I've seen meny threads about MMO's, and what they really bring to the MMO table at Launch, that really is note worthy "game changing". and off the top of my head, it was hard to find more than 3-5 things per game, and some i could not even find 2 things, I'm not a fanboy or enything, but i'm just really curious, and i know some games bring new stuff to the MMO table, but they don't really do more than that.
This is only what new "game changing/never seen before" things they brought to the MMO genre, when they LAUNCHED
Personally i played WoW/Age of conan/Warhammer, but would really like to know, where new game mechanics etc came from within same MMO genre "not included the first MMo's" I will update this list, from the replys, if eny one out there, want some clarification on this aswell. please make a OT reply, and no flame, this is a serious topic.
Guild wars
- Option for solo play in a persistent online world via henchman/heroes
- "Hard Mode" option to all zones for added difficulty
- 8 skills max, only changeable at towns and outposts
- Primary and secondary professions attribute points and combinations
Correct me if I'm wrong, those are the first things that popped into my head.
