We all see bums (I poked one once). They have signs with sweet, sweet lies about how they are going to use the money given for their family. But, they are really going to use the money on sweet... sweet... BEER. In truth, the bums with funny signs are the ones that get my money.

So, I have a contest for you people on this Forum! I want you to role-play, a bit. You are a bum, and you have a Sharpie, and a Cardboard Sign. Make something funny! Consider it practice for when China takes over the world.

I feel sorry for the homeless. while our goverment spends trillions of dollars in a country where we dont belong, our own people get forgotten about and left out on the streets to die. The money we are wasteing on wars that arent our problem could go to much better things like education and building bussinesses in areas that need them most.

Half the people you see out on the street corner with signs aren't really homeless. They've proven that a lot of them have a much money as any of the rest of us but spend the day out on the streetcorner, making a killing off the generosity of others. Hell a couple weeks ago I drove past one talking on his cell phone just off the freeway ramp while holdin up his sign in his other hand. You think he was really homeless? You're right, it's not funny when people are honestly homeless, especially when children are involved. Unfortunately there are greedy people out there who take advantage of the generosity of others by being dishonest.

On topic, best sign I've seen was back in Phoenix there was this guy who was there all the time with a sign that said: "Why lie, I need a beer." Always thought that was great cuz hey, at least he's being honest.

I don't know where you're from, but I saw the same exact thing a couple days ago as well when I got off the freeway. A "homeless" man was standing there, talking on a cell phone and holding a sign in his other hand. He could have stolen it though, or was crazy and found one somebody threw away and was pretending to be talking to somebody.

It's why I never give money to them. If I have a snack bar or something laying around in my car I'll gladly offer it if I'm not going to eat it. If the person is truly homeless they would be very happy to take it.
