As far as i can see, its either a spec choice or tree reward (holy and disc). Its just removed from shadowpriests.

Right, except they will still be able to Dispel friendly targets with Mass Dispel, this change just makes it...clunkier.

You don't have to spec for it, you just get it by choosing Disc or Holy as your spec, just like Meditation. So it's only the poor shadowy fellas who can't dispel other people anymore.

Yeah, it's just listed under Discipline because that's the spell book Dispel is located in. I'm sure this is just a nerf to Shadow Priests.

Nothing, as of right now. I don't think its a problem though. But then again, I didn't see a problem in shadow priests dispelling their party members, so who knows.

I can see them letting us keep Mass Dispel to dispel friendly targets since it has a high mana cost and a cast time, needs manual targeting and only removes 1 effect from friendly targets. After all, Warlocks can dispel magic from friendly targets with Singe Magic.

Thanks; I almost panicked. Still, are Shadow Priests really that OP when they Dispel? I mean, every DPS spec brings small utilities like this.

thinking the same, mass disspell will still be able to disspell your allies though, think they're doing the same nerfs to shadowpriests like they did to ret paladins some 2-3months back. This is hardly unfair or stupid in terms of pvp balance.
