PTR Realm Issue

I'm in the process of downloading the PTR (about 50% of the way through), but when I try and enter the game, there are no realms listed on the suggest realm list. I thought this must be an issue due to the incomplete nature of the download, but a friend of mine has got on already with less downloaded.
Has anyone else encountered this problem or knows how to fix it?

make sure your realmlist is the right one incase you were on any pvt servers

I copied my characters over to the PvP server and I'm selecting 'PvP' and 'Development' if that's what you mean.

no go into your files and make sure youre using the right realmlist

also make sure you are connecting under the right WOWX; some people have WOW1 and WOW2 and one of them is the PTR, the other is Cataclysm Beta/else. You want the PTR one.

I've hit the 'Playable' (green) section of the download now and still no realms appearing.

Nope, I'm definitely running the PTR client.
And how would one go about ensuring that you're using the right realmlist?
