I remember seeing that exact path on my main right after buying cata... say, isn't that flightmaster a goblin? That would explain SO much...

Don't have the screenshot, but I once had a flight path that wanted to take me from Stormwind to Eastern Plaguelands to Badlands. I assumed it was a glitch related to Hero's Call: Badlands! and the rocket that takes you from Light's Hope to Badlands.

Not exactly sure how long it took, but it was at least 10 minutes.

This just shows that the FP masters are hurting financially since the advent of old World flying. They need to send you through all the FP to keep their family fed

There's one more thing I remembered about the OP's flightpath: in 4.0.1 it gave you 'No man's land' and teleported you to wetlands when you entered Twilight Highlands

every area has a "main" flight point, that is connected with the other "main" flight points, usually located in the center of the zone or some bigger collection of npcs. simply go and locate that flight path, problem solved.

Heh -- Part of the issue is due to some of the old FP's are still connected to each other versus the new ones. Some also are due to the fact that you are missing flight paths. Not every flight path in the game is going to be attached so they use other path's to smooth it out. It's up to the user to go through and get them to make it easier on themselves.

One of the flightpath systems that come to mind is the Hyjal system where if you don't have them all it takes longer to fly that way.

I had this too when the 4.0 patch hit, exact same thing. It was even worse then, because that path took you over Twilight Highlands, it gave you the no mans land debuff, and it dropped you off in wetlands. It was impossible for me to fly to the Badlands, so I had to fly to someplace close and run there.

It was my own fault though, I was missing one crucial flightpath that would've made me take the short route. I assume the same goes for the OP.
