Chimaeron 25HC

Heya guys,

We are having some problems dealing with chimaeron 25hc, we are using 3 tanks, 1 as a MT, 1 taking the double attacks and the other tanking during feud.

Got some questions, do the double attacks tank, taunts the double attacks during feud aswell

And should the feud tank stack up on others aswell during feud, makees it much easier for the tank to be topped off coz so much aoe heals going on

you only need 2 tanks for this but a 3rd can help out especially for last phase.

have a dps/tank take all the break stacks as they wont die as long as they are above 10k health.

1 tank to take double attacks alternating with which tank has a cd available to take double attack, can use healer cd like PS, and Hand of sacrifice to help when needed if the tank doesnt have a cd but if healed fast tank will survive.

during feud tank will survive as long as they are topped of straight away and get a few heals, healer cds can be good to use here as well.

3 tanks does neutralize the risk of having two consecutive Feuds, where it's highly likely the Feud-tank will get refreshed stacks of Break. If it happens, it's highly unlikely you'll survive the Feud.

Although, you don't need a tank for the normal phase; a melee damage dealer with a taunt should work just fine. Two normal tanks and a damage dealer as aggro holders seems to be the most popular and logically best approach.

@OP, there are many ways to counter the double attack during Feud. You can use a tank without Break to pop a defensive cooldown and taunt a double attack during Feud. You could also use a Warriors Intervene; the threat loss shouldn't be an issue because Chimaeron does seem to fixate during double attacks.

Or even better, use a Hunter turtle to Intervene the tank to soak double attacks during Feud.

The tank shouldn't stack up with the others. The main problem with tanking Feud is how Chimaeron actually does get close to one-shotting tanks, adding splash damage increases the risk of getting gibbed. It's easier to heal him in the first place if he stacks up and it may be valid for him to stay stacked for the first 10 seconds perhaps.

For that you will likely want a DPS DK or a Ret, as those two classes can get huge aggro without changing a single thing about their damage output.
