Off-Topic Forum Rules
IMPORTANT: The rules described in this post are an addendum to the normal ruleset, and are specifically made for this section.
WHEN MAKING A THREAD...
- If it's a World of Warcraft related thread, please use the appropriate World of Warcraft Forum.
- If your thread is going to be a funny picture or video please use the appropriate threads in the fun stuff forum:
- Make sure your thread isn't about any of the following subjects, it belongs in the respective forum for that subject and not in this one:
- Make sure there isn't a thread already about the subject. Search first!
- Is your thread actually interesting?
WHEN POSTING...
...keep in mind the post contents/subjects that are not allowed:
- Posts that contribute nothing ("what does this have to do with WoW" etc)
- Meme replies (LOL, TL;DR, OVER 9000, /thread etc)
- Image macros and image memes
- "Do my homework for me" threads. (Asking for a push in the right direction is ok.)
- Religion
- Nationalism and nation bashing
- Conspiracies
- Pornography/Nudity
- Sexuality/Gender identity
- Do-it-yourself weapons or explosives (Use common sense!)
- Content that is considered illegal by law
REGARDING POTENTIALLY CONTROVERSIAL SUBJECTS... The moderating team reserves the right to pass judgement on any thread or post in the General Off-Topic forum.
REPORTING POSTS
If you see something that is inappropriate, out of line, offensive or breaks the rules stated above, please report it. This option is far better than responding, which bumps the thread and perpetuates the issues. Remember, calling someone else a troll is against the rules.
How do I report?
At the bottom-right corner of every post, you'll find the report button (
). It will take you to an entry box where you can describe the problem with the post. Our mod team is then notified immediately via email and can take action.
Keep in mind that the report feature is intended to be used on posts that break the rules, not to report posts that you disagree with. Abuse of the system will carry consequences.
THIS IS NOT A SPAM FORUM! MODERATION WILL BE STRICT.
Oh, and all of these rules are subject to change! Also all moderators have time traveling abilities (within the bounds of the off-topic section).
