Need a new Monitor

Hello folks, what would be a splendid monitor to get without destroying my bank?

I don't really know anything about monitors, so I'm asking the community, just toss a few good choices my way.
$250 Max. and I dont have any specific size range, i just want something that would be a good gaming monitor.
Foot mount please.

- How much are you willing to spend?
- What size range are you looking for?

3) What kind of MS is acceptable?
4) Angles?
5) Size + native resolution?
6) Foot? Wall-mounting?
7) What country?
8) What purpose? Gaming? Photo-editting? Surfing? Casually watching movies?
