Hemingway's Gun (or 'hemingways gun' in the apostrophe forbidden WoW) is semi hardcore progression 10man guild and raid. We are focused on progression, hardmode achievements, and its core is made from raiders who finished the meta achievements of Ulduar, Heroic ToC10, and Heroic ICC10 and have raided with the various full time hardcore guilds in one shape or another.

However, our raid is designed around the recognition that raiding four to five nights is not a sustainable way for long term interaction with the game, unless you plan to burn through content in two months, and raid once a week for four months after. We raid two nights a week, keeping a good kill time ratio, and maintaining a healthy, friendly attitude. Loot is decided by rolls and sharing, with first time raiders in the run being under loot restrictions for the first week. This simply means that preference goes to the regulars if an item they have been waiting for drops.

We are Australian based and our two nights are Sunday and Wednesday night, 8.30 to 11.30 Sydney time. That is a 2.30am server start time (time subject to change when daylight savings does).

Hemingway's Gun is a GLBT friendly. Proudmoore is a GLBT server and the guild's policy is a recognition of that. We do not tolerate bigotry of any kind. We are also an 18 plus guild. Largely, Hemingway's Gun is a guild of professionals, malcontents, and people who find suicide references funny. If you can't see the humour, then you probably don't think Valdimir Putin Action Comics are funny either, and we can't help you.

Lastly, Hemingway's Gun is not a large guild. It will never be a large guild. Sometimes large guilds are cool, sometimes they're not.

Suicide references?

They're always cool.

Currently Recruiting:

1 tank, or 1 healer (no paladins, please)

It should be noted that we run a twelve man roster for our ten man. It has a solid rotation of sitting two people a week, and a dps/tank would sit one in six weeks. This is to counter the inevitable real life issues that come up with players, and to ensure the nine to ten others who wish to raid can.

Thanks for your time.
