Arete is a 9/12 2/3-day 10 Man Horde raiding guild on the Bloodhoof server (US) - EST. We run 10 man raids exclusively. The raid schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday, from 7:30 pm EST to 11pm EST.

The guild was formed in October 2010, in anticipation of the Cataclysm expansion to World of Warcraft. Its founding members have raided every instance Blizzard has offered since the game's launch in 2004. Our mission is to work efficiently, play hard, and ultimately complete all raid content, up to and including Heroic Deathwing. Arete maintains a core group of about 15 raiding members, forming a small but well organized team.

Guild members are generally adults with full time jobs so time is valuable. Raids are fast, efficient, and min/maxing is expected. We fully expect members to research their class both out of game and in game, using tools such as Elitist jerks, Tankspot, and combat training dummies. We are min/maxers and take the time to learn to play our class to its limits.

Loot is distributed using a silent-bid straight points per hour and boss kill DKP system

At this time we are raiding regularly (Launched 1/11/11 - 9/12 bosses to date), while running regular 5 man heroics and recruiting to iron out our class balance.

Ideal Candidates are:
- Power gamers who want to experience WoW raid content at it's highest level while raiding 2-3 nights per week.
- Players who are looking for a stable guild built on a strong foundation of real-life friends but without elitism or cliques.

Current opportunities:

High Need: DK (DPS/Tank), Feral Tank, Priest

Medium Need: Prot Warrior

Low Need: DPS Warrior, DPS Shaman, Hunter, Rogue, Warlock
