That, is suddenly a whole lot better.
I should say. But 8 months later, and it's still relatively up-to-date.

It's a prebuilt iBUYPOWER for $650 that I bought a couple months ago. It runs WoW on ultra perfectly with the shadows turned down 1 notch. Doesn't come with any bloatware, just Windows 7 and the necessities. Doesn't come with a monitor but I would recommend an ASUS as they are great monitors. Great budget computer imo.
Good man. Yeah, just a sec...
I don't know Sweedish, so I'm just going to recommend you parts.
Case CoolerMaster Haf 922
Mobo Asus P8P67 Pro
CPU Intel i5 2500k
PSU CoolerMaster Silent Pro M600
GPU MSI Twin Frozr II 560 TI

I wonder if I missed anything...

Quit recommending crap PSU's please. 450W is nowhere NEAR enough to run an OC 560 ti.
Fuckshitdamn, Iforgottheram.

I'm not sure what's available in Sweden. I'm just making recommendations based on personal knowledge. Feel free to recommend alternatives.
It was a typo

After your suggestion on PSU, that's silly :P
Also,

^ That's with an overclocked i7-975, mind you. 351w for the whole system.
And under full load with 3DMark, even.
I'm on a personal crusade against anyone suggesting overkill PSUs. It's a rising trend everywhere, not only here.
I mean, I see people swear that the minimum for any build is a 1200w gold-certified PSU, while a 850w (Like the Corsair HX) is good enough to power a 1366system with GTX 580 in SLI, and having overclocking headroom for both, as well as 6 RAM-modules and 6+ SATA-drives. :P
I'm just gonna comment on this proposal: http://www.inet.se/kundvagn/visa/298045/reasonable-mmo
It's fairly reasonable, but i would suggest one or two things:
Mainboard:
- MSI is the cheapest from the "three big MB manufactors", but not the best. I would advise to ASUS or GIGABYTE.
- Don't chose any "premium" or "pro" variants of a board. They have additions that ar situational at best (like FireWire, CrossFire, etc.). The basic configuration has all that is neccessary.
- If you do not plan to put a lot of additional cards in the pc (like I/O cards for old printers and stuff), a µATX board is plenty enough, but try to get one with 4 ram banks.
Case:
- Never, ever, use a noise-cancelling case for a gaming rig. A gaming pc produces a lot of heat, and noise absorbing mats also are heat insulating.
- You don't need uber cases like the above mentioned CoolerMaster HAF, but your case should have plenty of space and at least the possibility for 2 additional case fans (lower front, upper back) (lower left side and center top would be a bonus). The CoolerMaster Centurion 5 II is a good and cheap example.
CPU:
- Intel is the better choice for WoW. The old i5-760 was clearly ahead of the PhenomII X4-965 and the new SandyBridge cpus are even better.
- Don't buy the -k variants of the new Intels unless you want to overclock (which i wouldn't advise, since the benefit is marginal and the risk is higher)
Graphics:
- WoW doesn't need that much, so a card in the middle price range is your best choice. AMD: 5770 / 6850 / 6870, NVidia: (450 / 460) / 550 / 560
RAM:
- You will not see any difference between 1333 and 1600 ram. But if the 1600 is basically the same price, then why not....
- 4GB (2 x 2GB) is a must, more not neccessary at the moment. But ram is so cheap at the moment, that you can put 8GB (2 x 4GB) in nearly for free.
HDD:
- it might be beneficial to use 2 drives (1 for windows, 1 for wow), but it's not that great of a bonus.
- what really decreases loading times in general is a SSD, but they are expensive. (don't go for less than 100GB, win7 + wow occupy 60GB alone)
Why do something simple, when there is a complicated way?
