Getting 980 VP just by doing random HC. Good or bad?

you do realise that valor points give whatever the highest non hard mode epic tier quality loot right? so in 4.2 they will buy 378 or w/e the ilvl is.

Which still won't be enough to fill all your slots and all won't be BiS.

I don't care if other people can get epic gear. So what? How would that affect anyone?

It's like, five pieces of Epic gear that they can get from Valor points.

Scratch that, it's seven. Boots, ring, cloak, trinket, Tier pants, Tier chest, Tier gloves. The boots are BoE, so they could have potentially already gotten them. The Tier chest and Tier pants can be gotten from VoA, so they could have potentially already gotten those. That leaves the ring, cloak, trinket, and Tier gloves for them to squander their valor points on.

It'll take them just a wee bit longer, but eventually they'll be selling their Valor Point Boots in trade channel, just like those of us raid frequently. There's only so many purps you can get from the Purp Points.

EDIT: And Valor Points reset with each new content patch that brings a new raid (i.e. 4.2 with the Firelands), so it's not like they can stockpile them all and then they'll be able to outgear us ("us" being frequent raiders).

Well people need to realize something. This tier of content blizzard is only releasing one raid. ONE RAID! The current tier of raiding, once Firelands is released, BWD, To4W and BoT and BH tier 11 will only drop justice points. The increased number of valor points from new heroics will balance the fewer bosses we can kill for VPs. Currently, you can get 840 from 10 mans (910 if you can kill Sinestra) or 1080 from 25 mans (1170 if you can kill Sinestra) you needed to do heroics to get your cap anyway. Also blizzard seems to recognize that current guilds just havent been able to kill all the content. hell my guild is only 10/13 in hard modes, with only the last 3 encounters of BoT left while the rest of the guilds on the server are only 2/13 in heroics. Blizzard overtuned some fights and undertuned others so they need to give the raiders a helping hand.

Also the raise of valor points allows us who raid frequently yet still get the vp cap can just log in to do the daily jewelcrafting (if your a JC) and the daily TB quests if you still need the trinket for heroic Nefarian.

This petty jealously is ridiculous.
A raiders items don't get any worse if some casuals can get them, too. The casuals still won't beat hard modes, even with those epics.
This wannabe elitist crap is in fact just a show of insecurity and/or malignance.

Give everyone the valor point cap, make crafted epics extrmely cheap, make it easy in as many ways as possible to get decent gear. Then the game will be enjoyable for all reasonable people - casuals as well as smart raiders who realize that nothing is taken away from then if others get some gear, too.

Worst case scenario some assholes that we are better off without anyway will quit the game. Hurray for that!

Why actually you carry so much next raid will come short after 4.1 and even you "raiders" will be happy when can get new points in one day coz will take a time before you start clearing raid content
