Cases. Suggestions please, something not plastastic please

I looked at the builds on the front page, but honestly the suggested cases just don't look good to me. I would need a tower but do not want one that is so obnoxious (read: nerd plastastic ricerville). So, no windows, no lights, no plastic. Stainless or bright aluminum would be good; like a Mac Pro tower style. However a mini version might be best. The only requirement, support a single full size video card, one DVD, and two 3.5 sized internals (ssd/hdd).

most of those "nerd plastastic recerville" cases are designed with air cooling in mind and extra vents/colored fans are added to increase the cooling capability of those cases without just being super clean looking. However I can respect the esthetic want for a perfectly clean case - but personally I would not take the health of my PC > looks alone when lit fans can easily be repalced with nonlit fans.

That having been said here are a few you might want to consider if you don't want to do any fan swapping

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...atid=7&subcat= (using one myself in an i3 build I use for WoW, great mid range case. Probably available in silver if you look around)

For full size i like http://www.ebuyer.com/product/168996 and if money is no object and you really want a plain jane affair http://www.ebuyer.com/product/190907. My own personal case of choice is this http://www.ebuyer.com/product/191197 good budget case with clean lines and it has enough room in there for any GPU you throw at it. The only silver/brushed aliminium cases i could find were very expensive so did not bother linking.

    Fractal Design Define R3

Here's pure white, pretty close to what you asked for. mATX version of the black case is also available.

My favorite non-plasticy, non-window, non-glowy case is by far the Corsair Graphite 600T.

if you can live with a side window, this case is one of the best you can get.

it cost alot, but in my opinion you get full valuta for the money. its the Corsair 800D black case

click the link and look at all the features it offers

And if you don't want a side window, buy the 800D and I'll trade you a non-window side for your windowed one

On a more serious note, you could also get the Corsair 700D:

or the Corsair 650D, which is a re-dress of the Corsair 600T:

Its not stainless or white aluminum but its hella sleek nonetheless.

That's the case I am currently using and have another one sitting in the unopened box in my bedroom. The second will be for the machine I am building for my sister.

My Storm Sniper is far from ricerville

Anyway, the Antec 300 is a great case, and comes in the no-window, no lights design: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-065-_-Product

There's also the Lian Li PC-7B plus II - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811112099
    And the Lian Li PC-9F - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811112304

Also, a lot of the popular "ricerville" cases come in no-window, non-LED varieties, some have an LED power switch as well (such as the Storm Sniper).

you should take a look at the Lian Li cases, they make some beautiful aluminium cases. They are pricey though.

Thanks for the amazing selection of cases. The Fractal and Lian Li cases appeal the most though the CM 690 has some features that appeal. I am aiming at mid towers, something unobtrusive. All the cases, even the mid towers, have more room for drives than I ever plan to use. As it stands I am looking at, one DVD, two HDD, and a full sized video card. I might just not even bother with an old style HDD and just do a SSD (256g) in its place. This machine would never be my main computer, just for games.
