Entertaining things to do outside of raiding etc.

I've found after playing WoW for about 5 years, rolling alts, etc.... its become quite stale... I was interested in some other hobbies that people have outside of raiding/wowing that people do.
I get outside quite enough don't worry :P this is more specified towards "Computer time" for example I was enjoying doing some old school emulation with the poke'mon games etc.
Are there any other free 2 play games that could bide my time?- Emulation- Card games- Computer courses, etc.
    Thx for the feed back.

There are some good threads over in the TV forums about various anime to try.

Unfortunately, with the coming of cataclysm, my favorite thing to do besides raiding, exploits, is coming to an end. Things like running past the gates in AB to the enemies gates and blizzarding teh whole team, or shutting down the storm wind auction house by killing the auctionees from above then logging off, or heading to GM island for a bit, really aren't possible as much now. There are still some exploits out there, but blizz is too fast about fixing them now

Speaking of Rift, I've been wanting to try it but with being so broke I can't afford to keep two game subscriptions running at the same time, let alone I think I may have to go out and spend 40 or 50 bucks on the disc's for rifts I'm not too sure, haven't really read up on all the details.

I would like to play Rift myself but I have the same issue as you. With WoW, Gamefly, and Netflix I'm paying enough for monthly fees. Personally when I'm not playing WoW I'm playing console games. Like I said earlier I have Gamefly so I always have new stuff to play coming to my house. You should try that if you can afford the $17 a month. I can refer you and get ya a free month in fact. Oh and also during Spring and Summer I skateboard. With it getting warmer outdoor activities can soak up a lot of time. That's if you're into that kinda stuff.

WoW: Try doing something stupid useless and/or different. BGs, try to gang in TB, level up proffessions. Play a game called guess what herb i am (Lifegiving seed, one transforms, rest guess). Put a strange for you goal and do it.

    Other games:
ME2 is a good rpg/action game you will love. It promisses more than 2 playthroughts. Try and give a try to RTS like Warcraft TFT if you havent, Starcraft 2 and Total War. On the last serie, i would recomment Medieval 2 or Rome. Pretty nice games.

Animes: I would not recomment long ones like Naruto or One Piece because the story isnt completed and sometimes there are huge boring parts. Would go for shorter ones(about 25 episodes). Trinity blood was a good one, thought i am not special.

TV series: There are some good out there depending on your likes. I dont watch a lot thought i liked Heroes.

Movies: Wont reccomment any specific here, but you can find some that you will like. Commedies are highly reccomented.
English is not my native language and i type fast. So bare with my typos, like "jsut".

Ah man I would have tried Gamefly probably months ago, but being in Canada its not eligible for us last time that I checked . Yeah I do a lot of jogging and camping in the summer, am mainly looking for things to mess around with while I'm at the PC xD

Canada doesn't get Gamefly. That's just ass. You guys should make a petition or something. And as for something to do at the PC you could start looking for really weird porn to look at. That normally fills a few hours for me. Or for something less perverse download some emulators. Playing those old games will make you feel like a kid again.

We just BARELY got Netflix a few months ago..... LOL-

if you are a anime fan. just watch naruto, one piece, katekyo hitman reborn and bleach and you have enough things to watch for 1 year xD if you dont watch 50 episodes a day ;D.

if you like old games: i played final fantasy 8 on a emulator(i have the original game, but no ps1 anymore, so its legal), it was just a great game.
other than that you can play all the great snes rpg´s on rom, like: Lufia - Rise of the sinistrals, secret of mana, chrono trigger and so on... there are a lot of games worth playing it.

and for tv: just start watching all the sitcoms like how i met your mother, the big bang theory, two and a half man... and so on.. there are a lot of them^^.

im also playing: Heroes of Newerth, besides wow.. i really like it, and if you know and like dota from wc3, you will probably like this game too. i think its the much better choice than "lol".

Get together with a couple of friends and play a console game that you all like and includes a multi-player. Nothing beats the feeling of winning a tournament against your closest friends and the bragging afterwards.

    Mount & Blade: Warband
"Loss of blood... My only weakness!"
    ~ Warlord Khan, Magicka

Anyway, if you don't already see where I'm going with this, allow me to spell it out: the only meaningful MMORPG "endgame" -- i.e., something novel to do after the progression process is over -- is that of the sandbox.

Fap Fap Fap Fap I'm kidding but, going outside and doing things without the aid of electronics can be fun.

I spent my time outside of WoW with Pokemon White, watching Naruto or One Piece or visiting memebase.com. I also play a lot offline RPGs like Dragon Age Origins/2 or Fallout 3/New Vegas.

Edit: Playing PS3 with friends is a very fun thing to do as well, when playing some multiplayer games (Tekken, Blur)
