Pretty sure Mac OS X is a Unix based OS. So wouldn't that mean Linux and OS X are related? As well as Android?

I just upgraded my 10.10 server edition to 11.04 server edition the other day, and my laptop's 10.10 desktop to 11.04 aswell. So far things are running pretty smooth, but i'm new to linux so I can't really go in-depth. My server is just a home file server for me and my friends, and I figured i'd give the desktop version a shot on my laptop to see how I like it. My next step is to install it on my overclocked i7 desktop with my new ATI 6950 (modded to 6970 bios). I'll let you know how it turns out.

Mac OS X is Unix based, Linux is a rewrite of the Unix Kernel, but basically they are very similar. Android is a Linux based OS that is adapted by Google specifically to mobile devices. I doubt that Android is meant to be used as an OS for Desktops, and as far as I know Google rather tries to deploy Chrome OS on these devices...or at least on netbooks
