I'm looking for any .ico files that might have the following icons in them...

World of Warcraft
Fraps
iTunes
Skype
Notepad++
Ventrilo

Dark themed icons are best. Desktop reference:


FOR CLARIFICATION: I'm looking to change the icons of the above mentioned files, not obtain their default icons. (I know some have more than one, but for the most part, none math my theme.)

You can extract the icons from the .exe files. I think the application was called Resource Hacker.

That's not what I need, however. I need different icons for these programs listed. I like to have a uniform themed desktop.

Mhm. I'd make them in Photoshop myself, but I'm awful at icon making. I can just save that as an .ico file, correct?

You'd have to save as a gif and rename to .ico.

I'll work on the other programs now.

Saving it straight as an .ico didn't seem to work, so yeah. Can't I save it as a .png (native) (So just save image as) then convert, or does it have to be gif/bmp? I don't do a lot of icon customization. ><
Also, bouncing between my Crysis thread and this one has resulted in me Bookmarking the Crysis thread so I don't take so long to reply. ><

Looks like in Vista+ png should work and rename to .ico. Many resource editors should be able to handle using a png image to replace too I believe.

Hmph. Didn't even properly open in Photoshop as a bmp file. I'd post my error but in my rage I think I may smash my monitor x3.

And erm, make my own icons? It won't open PNG's natively. I think. I'll do a bit more digging, but /irritated growls will ensue.

Invalid PNG file on the opening of every file. Even the ones I didn't download. Hmph.
