I need advice and quickly!

I'm leaving on a week long trip tomorrow and I need games to fill the down-time! I want a good RPG or two that I can spend a ton of time on (It doesn't have to be an rpg but its what I'm currently looking for)
It needs to be for SNES, GBA, GBC, N64, or an older PC game (3+ years so my laptop doesn't have a heart attack running it)
If you have played a really amazing RPG, please suggest it. Don't say FF1-6, because I already have them. I don't care how obscure it is, and how I get it doesn't matter. Just name it, and tell me something about it. Tell me as much or as little about it as you want, and why its awesome. Just for reference, RPGs I loved:
Breath of Fire 2, FFIII, Every Zelda, Golden Sun, Baten Kaitos, Skies of Arcadia...
