Aptitude - US #17 - 13/13 HM 25 Looking for Resto Shaman and Rogues

Please read the entire post. We're a serious guild, and you should ensure you meet our standards before applying.

    Basic Information:
    Website: http://www.aptitudeguild.com
    Realm: Stormreaver (US-PvP)
    US Rank: #17
Raid Days: Sunday through Thursday (5 days)
Raid Times: 7:30pm until 11:30pm Central (Server) Time [8:30pm until 12:30am Eastern]

Aptitude was formed during late ICC by players in highly ranked guilds (or experience from) with the goal of being on the cutting edge of progression. The core of the guild has played together off and on since the release of WoW, and figured why not compile all of our talent into one guild. The first tier of Cataclysm proved to be successful with our premier ranking ending up being top 25 in the United States. For Firelands, we only want to improve this.

We are currently opening recruitment for all exceptional players in preparation for the Firelands 4.2 patch.

Many players have the mindset that they don't have a chance in a guild in the top 25, but that couldn't be further from the truth. If you meet our expectations, you are exactly what we are looking for.

    What we want from you:
-- Exceptional DPS - AND - raid awareness. Most guilds settle for only one of these, but we do not. There is no reason a player cannot do great damage and be aware of raid mechanics at the same time.
-- Experience, or the ability to prove you know the game. Applicants with a longstanding history of the game have a significant advantage to grab our attention compared to applicants whom have just started playing. While being a new player is definitely not a deal-breaker, having a history of playing indicates that you will be more likely to continue playing.
-- Extensive knowledge of your class. We're not asking for theorycrafters, but we do want players who keep up-to-date with PTR patch notes and the latest theorycraft with their class. Having knowledge of other classes drastically increases your chance of being a successful trial.
-- Extensive knowledge of raid encounters. We don't want a player who shows up and knows what to do; we want a player who shows up and knows everything about an encounter. Knowing what an ability hits for allows for you to know when to go out of your way to stay alive.
-- On the spot thinking. Being able to react to a potential wipe in a raid-saving manner could be the difference between wiping and not wiping. Whether it be cooldowns, hybrid-healing, or repositioning -- we want you to know the difference between a good decision and a bad one.
-- Being vocal. You MUST have a microphone (that can be clearly heard) and the ability to use it. If you notice a mistake happening, or need assistance in a particular role, calling it out is a must.
-- A good attitude with an open sense of humor. While we present ourselves in a serious and professional manner we also believe that enjoying the game while playing it is a vital part. During encounters everything is "gameface on," but while clearing trash or taking a break having fun is totally acceptable and something we do.
-- Like-minded goals. We have the desire to be the best, and we want you to as well. If we wipe at 1% on a boss at raid-end time, we want YOU to want to continue, and not just stay because everyone else is.

What we can provide you with:
-- A stable, fun, helpful guild. Our guild is the polar opposite of "clique"-ish. After a raid ends it's not unusual for the entire raid to stay in the same channel and talk about the raid and improvements that could be made, or just banter around. If you bring a positive and fun attitude, you will fit right in.
-- Cutting edge progression. That's the entire point of our guild. That's why we want you. We have an incredible lineup of players, but there is always room for improvement. If you show that you're better than one of our members -- we want you.

Here's a list of our better raid progression for 4.0:
    US #17 - Heroic: Al'Akir
    US #23 - Heroic: Sinestra
US #24 - Heroic: Omnotron Defense System
    US #29 - Heroic: Chimaeron
    US #31 - Heroic: Nefarian
US #31 - Heroic: Ascendant Council
    US #33 - Heroic: Cho'gall
US #33 - Heroic: Valiona and Theralion
US #37 - Heroic: Conclave of Wind

    Our website again is: www.aptitudeguild.com

If you have any questions or comments you can contact any of our officers in-game: Amalyth, Fadeshy, Healem, Lucente, Midgert, Rachen.

Thanks, and we hope to hear from you soon!
