What are your top five favorite video game SERIES?

I have to say, I never owned a Nintendo, thus I never really played Zelda or Mario...Otherwise zelda at least would probably be in my list too

2. Super Mario (Super Mario 64, just loved that);
3. Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow (Gotta Catch 'em All!);
4. GTA (remarkable characters and stories - Red Dead Redemption is just amazing too);
5. Half-Life 2 (the first was amazing, bust the second was simply superb!);


These are my top games but Modern Warfare (specially the second one), Donkey Kong 64, Age of Empires, Starcraft (any!), Diablo, Warcraft series, Prince of Persia (not the last one...), Assassin's Creed are also on top of my favorite games of all time!

Honorable mention: Max Payne, Zelda, Doom, Halo (until they strayed away from Master Chief)

In no particular order, I'd have to say
Halo, Warcraft, Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, and Fable. Pretty much all of them 85% of my enjoyment's out of story (Yes, I read all the books too, otherwise Halo wouldn't be on the list)
I can't consider KotOR a game series, because that's part of the Expanded SW universe and there are many crappy SW games.

If we were to go stories/universes that have tied in games it would be essentially the same, but I'd have to do a top six with SW added in.
