What about removing resi and honor points and reward players with JP for BGs and VP for arenas. Would that be a good or bad idea??

A lot of PvPers and PvErs alike would respond negatively to this.
First of all, a person who focuses mainly on the PvE aspect of the game would soon
find himself in a great PvP gear without having touched the Arena button in his life.

As there's those who believe PvE is where the skill is required in this game and those who believe PvP is where the skill is needed,
there will always be someone there to point a finger saying that it's unfair for a PvPer to PvP himself to PvE gear and vice versa.

Keeping the PvE and the PvP aspect of the game as far as part as possible wards off conflicts about how you earned your gear,
and this seems to work quite well through the current system of seperate currencies.

No, because then someone that is a pro at PvE could get a full set of great gear for PvP and be bad and vice versa.
