    Recertified HDD

How does MMOC feel about recertified hard drives?

I'd like to hear about your good/bad experiences, building a pc for my younger brother and I'm trying to save as much $$ as I can.

Most drives aren't terribly expensive to begin with, for a regular user, but if it's a significant savings make sure to buy from a reputable vendor that has a return policy.

Typically a recertified unit will have a far smaller warranty period, like 90 days. Some companies might label new drives as recertified, just to sell them easier, hard to say.
